Norwegian and Japanese contemporary textile art explored through exchange and collaboration

CULTEX is a project of collaboration, process and outcome.
It features six major innovative textile artists from Japan and Norway, working in three trans-national partnerships over a period of 12 months. During this time they will exchange ideas, techniques and, when spending time in each other's studios, cultural influences.
You can follow the progress of these working partnerships through the artists' and the curator's Journals here on the website.

The resulting work from each of the artists has been brought together as a unique and exciting exhibition which opened at Galleri F15, Jeløya on April 4th 2009. The exhibition will tour to the UK and Japan in 2010 and 2011.
